The Daily Times, citing industry sources, reported that Pakistan Steel Mills has increased prices of its major steel product Galvanized steel by PKR 3,000 and now the price has reached PKR 71,800 per tonne as compared with PKR 68,800 per tonne previously.
The report added that the imported steel material is still PKR 5000 per tonne to PKR 7000 cheaper than PSM prices.
The report quoted some sources as saying that due to frequent hike in prices by PSM the buying activity remained dull since last couple of months.
