Coke price dropped to CNY 1700 per tonne in October - Report

MetalBiz reported that coking Industry Association pointed out that the guiding price of coke is CNY 1,700 per tonne in October lower by CNY 80 per tonne than September.
On October 9th Shanxi Coking Industry Association released information that the coke price in October will decrease CNY 80 per tonne again based on the drop of CNY 80 per tonne in September to CNY 1,700 per tonne.
According to the changes in coal, coke and steel markets currently, especially the high price of coking coal and the serious reverse of coke cost, Coking Industry Association put forward that the coke guiding price is CNY 1,700 per tonne in October, lower by CNY 80 per tonne than September. At the same time, the association asked to reduce production and strictly implemented the principals that the production depended on sales, requiring all coking enterprises arrange production with 60% to 70% reduction unless gas supplying for towns.
