
SteelBenchmarker reported that United States HRB spot price for October 26th 2009 surged 5.7% to USD 430 per tonne, after four consecutive declines.
The Western European HRB price rose 1% to USD 588 per tonne, ex works, after dropping last time. The World export HRB price dropped 6.3% to USD 503 per tonne, FOB the port of export; for the third consecutive time. The United States HRB spot price fell 2.8% to USD 592 per metric tonne, FOB the mill; for the second consecutive time.
