Novelis inks long term aluminum can sheet supply deal

Novelis announced the signing of a new multi year agreement to supply aluminum can sheet to Anheuser Busch. The agreement becomes effective January 1st 2010 when Novelis existing supply contract with Anheuser Busch expires.
The agreement extends a long running relationship between Novelis Inc and Anheuser Busch, Incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary of Anheuser Busch InBev NV and SA. The contract covers the supply of can body stock, can end stock and can tab stock for use in the production of aluminum beverage containers.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed however, Novelis acknowledged that the agreement relates to Anheuser Busch's North American operations only and provides for volumes similar to the current contract.
Mr Phil Martens president and COO of Novelis said "Anheuser Busch has been a valued customer of Novelis for many years and we are pleased that with this new agreement, we will continue to be a supplier to the company."
