TATA Sponge Iron disclosed a substantial drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 2009.
During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 69.80% to INR 308.40 million from INR 1,021.30 million in the same quarter last year.
Its net sales declined by 32.77% to INR 2,349.40 million while total income for the quarter fell 51.86% to INR 1,146.80 million, when compared with the prior year period.
