Japanese zinc export in September nearly doubles YoY
Reuters reported that Japan's refined zinc exports for September nearly doubled from a year earlier, with China still accounting for more than 40% of shipments.
Ministry of Finance data showed that September shipments fell 12% from August, as demand remained weak on an uncertain outlook for the global economy.
Taiwan and Southeast Asia are also large importers of zinc from Japan. Zinc is mainly used as an anti corrosive coating in galvanized steel production and in plating.
