It is reported that Mr S K Srivastava oil India director (operations) will take over additional charge as director general of hydrocarbons, the deemed regulator of exploration companies, after the government denied an extension to incumbent Mr V K Sibal since he is facing CBI probe for allegations of nexus with Reliance Industries Ltd and other companies.
Mr Srivastava has been given additional charge of DGH for six months till April 30 during which time the government will make a regular appointment.
