NHPC which plans to diversify into thermal energy generation has assigned NTPC to prepare a detailed report for 1,320 MW coal based plant at Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh.
Mr SK Garg CMD of NHPC on the sidelines of the Economic Editors conference said that “We have assigned the job of preparing the detailed project report to NTPC for the 2x660 MW super-critical thermal power plant at Khandwa.”
He added that NHPC wants to complete the project in four years after seeking the Cabinet’s approval.
