JSW Steel October production up by 34pct

JSW Steel Ltd has reported a growth of 34% in crude steel production in October 2009 at 0.453 million tonnes as compared with 0.338 million tonnes in October 2008.
According to the company, production in October this year was lower sequentially due to unprecedented and incessant rains followed by floods in south India which hit the plant operations at Vijayanagar works.
