Iran Daily reported that Taiwan’s External Trade Development Council will organize a trade mission comprising 30 well established Taiwanese businesses to visit Iran, Kuwait and Yemen from November 6 to 17 2009.
As per report, the purpose of this visit is to explore the market opportunities in Middle East and strengthen trade relations between Taiwan and the three countries.
The report said that referring to the stable growth of a number of countries in the Middle East in the past several years including Iran have become prime markets for Taiwan’s trade and exports. In 2008, Taiwan shipped USD 4.4 billion worth of goods to the region which included cars, steel materials, machinery, equipment, chemicals and ICT products. The island imported sizable amounts of oil, mineral and chemical products from the region in the same year.
Since the delegates joining this mission come from a variety of industries, local buyers will have opportunities to select from a wide range of products.
Items on display will cover car parts and accessories, time switches, cables, fiber optic materials, water dispensers, fasteners, fittings, textiles, PU/PVC materials, industrial fans, vacuum cleaners, garment accessories, hand tools, air tools, valves, steel pipes, steel coils, energy saving lamps, wood working machines, network accessories, USB accessories, tissue and corrugated paper machines, power inverters, panel meters, circuit breakers, foam pillows, engine parts, electronic components and telecommunication products.
