Employees of POSCO-IPPC based in the Indian city of Pune are setting a good example for other overseas business by their regular commitment to volunteering.
The employees invited 50 children and teachers at Happy House a home for HIV-positive children which the company is affiliated with. The children toured manufacturing plants, held a talent show and watched movies with the employees. The children received winter hats, sweaters and slippers as gifts.
Mr Bang Gil ho president of POSCO-IPPC said that “We have all become good friends after two years of volunteering. Local employees are especially proud to be helping the local community as a part of POSCO.”
POSCO’s Social Contribution Group supports sustainable social corporate responsibility activities collaborating with the SCM group and coil processing centers in China, Malaysia, Mexico and India.
