Construction worker injured by steel beam dies

It is reported that a construction worker, who was seriously injured while working on a home on Birmingham Circle has died.

Farmington Police are investigating the accident in cooperation with OSHA. Police are not identifying the name of the victim pending notification of next of kin.

He was working on the basement of the house when a steal beam hit him in the head and then landed on him.

Several workers at the job site pulled the beam off the man, who sustained massive head injuries. A medical helicopter flew him to Hartford Hospital.
