Mahindra Chakan plant to begin production by November end

Mahindra & Mahindra is expected to commence production from its Chakan plant near Pune by end November 2009. As per report so far the company has invested Rs 2,500 crore to set up the plant.
M&M's new plant has a production capacity of 320000 vehicles in Phase I and has plans to increase capacity in future.
The new plant will be able to produce all of M&M vehicles and trucks. Initially, the plant will have four assembly lines and target domestic as well as international markets.
