JMB reported that ferrous scrap market price is firm around Tokyo when the market leading export recovers for East Asia.
As per report, the dealers pay around JPY 17,000 per tonne for H2 grade scrap while local electric furnace steel makers pay JPY 23,000 to JPY 24,500 for H2 grade. The price is expected to keep firm when the local supply is likely to get tighter due to higher export.
