Political war on iron ore mining in Orissa continuing

Odisha Today reported that senior BJP leader Mr Uma Ballav Rath on Friday in a statement charged that Mr Naveen Patnaik government of Orissa is showing leniency to Essel Mining and Industries Limited.
Mr Rath, demanding a probe into the INR 4269 crore scam done by the mining firm in Keonjhar district, said that the firm has been looting mineral resources since last five years without valid license and forest clearance.
Mr Rath asked how the same company signed a MoU with State government to construct a port at Chudamni in Bhadrak district.
