
Imidro reported that Mr Yousof Hossayn Kamal economic minister of Qatar met Iranian Economic Minister and expressed his country’s willingness to invest on telecom, tourism, banking and steel industry of Iran.
According to Iran Steel Services Center, Managing Director of Organization of Investment, Economy and Technical Support announced that the ways of developing economic relations and trade co operations have been evaluated during this meeting.
Noting capabilities of Iran Export Development Bank and Capital Guarantee Fund in development of trade relations he said that Iran is implementing its privatization plans and suitable opportunities will be offered to Qatari investors during the coming conferences. Qatari Economic Minister announced that he is satisfied with the offers and hoped that Qatari investors invest in Iran.
In addition, he asked for establishment of Qatar Bank in Iran and asked for cooperation on this issue. Economy of Qatar has grown in recent years and the government has allocated 8 budgets to economic development in 2008.
Mr Abdollah Sohrabi Iranian ambassador to Qatar announced in July that some plans are under evaluation for establishing an Iranian trade center in Doha and Iran allocated a piece of land for constructing a Qatari trade center in Bushehr city.
