It is reported that The Russian steel and pipe producer United Metallurgical Company has announced that its Novgorod-based pipe producer Vyksa Steel Works has issued its production results for October and for the first ten months of 2009.
Accordingly, in January to October this year Vyksa produced 1.258 million tonnes of pipes up by 3.3%YoY while its shipments amounted to about 1.296 million tonnes.
In October this year, Vyksa increased its output of pipes by 9%YoY to 120,992 tonnes while it delivered 139,098 tonnes of pipes up by 31.1%YoY. Meanwhile, the plant's October pipe output included 77,809 tonnes of LD pipes up by 10%YoY compared to October 2008, while its pipe output in January to October included 785,473 tonnes of LD pipes up by 21%YoY.
