
The statistics published by European Automobile Manufacturers' Association shows that Dacia's auto sales in Europe totaled 20,753 units in October 2009, up by 19% YoY, with the local automaker’s market share climbing from 1.5% to 1.6%.
In the first 10 months of 2009, a total of 194,824 Dacia cars have been sold in the 27 European states, up by 28.6% YoY. The Hyundai brand sales climbed 24% YoY to a total of 287,000 units sold. Alfa Romeo registered the third largest growth. Volkswagen and Fiat registered growths that surpassed 3% on an overall market that is still dropping following the disastrous results registered early this year.
Overall, the Renault Group's sales on the 27 markets totaled 1.094 million units in the first 10 months of 2009, down by 2.7% YoY when it sold 1.12 million units.
