Freewest Resources Canada Inc has provided an update pertaining to the ore quality of the Black Thor chromite occurrence situated on its 100% owned McFaulds property.

The wholly owned McFaulds property, consisting of 1,036 hectares, comprises one of three properties in the "Ring of Fire" metals district in northern Ontario in which Freewest is exploring on its own, or under joint venture agreements. The property is located approximately 300 kilometres north of the Town of Nakina in the James Bay Lowlands in northern Ontario.

This news release refers specifically to Freewest Resources Canada Inc news releases dated September 17th 2009 and October 15th 2009. In those news releases are assay tables that among other things, document Cr Fe ratios for a number of intercepts obtained during the second phase of drilling on the Black Thor chromite occurrence.

Upon review of Freewest's database, the Company's Quality Assurance Quality Control person noticed errors in the calculation of the Cr Fe for the drill hole results reported in the said news releases.
