Especially in case of accidents, the damaged steering systems of the vehicles involved often need to be replaced. That is, in most of the current cases, workshops have to replace hydraulic steering systems. The wide range Bosch offers for this purpose has now been complemented significantly by additional 39 part numbers. The new steering systems for workshop demands are geared to French vehicle makes such as Peugeot, Citroën or Renault. With the expanded portfolio, Bosch now covers some 20 percent of all European vehicles produced by French manufacturers. Step by step, the range will be further expanded by additional steering systems.

In case of vehicle components as safety-relevant as steering systems, high quality matters. Bosch thus emphasizes on the OE quality of its hydraulic steering systems for workshop demands. In addition, each and every one of these steering systems is specifically geared to the respective vehicle.

The new steering systems are supplied as complete systems including any additional components required. This fact significantly eases their installation at the workshop. In case of steering systems with external operating cylinder, for instance, the latter is already included in the scope of delivery. Vehicles equipped with an external operating cylinder include, for example, several Citroën Berlingo or Peugeot Partner models. Thanks to the complete solution, workshops are able to start replacing the steering system right away instead of having to order the operating cylinder separately or having to reuse the old one. In case of speed-dependent power steering systems, Bosch also includes the required sensor unit. Vehicles equipped with such steering systems include, for example, rather recent Renault Laguna and Espace models.

Replacing the steering systems of vehicles equipped with electro-hydraulic power steering pumps has also become much easier for the workshops. In these cases, Bosch supplies steering systems prefilled with oil. System venting is thus eased considerably. Examples of vehicles equipped with such systems include Renault Master and Traffic as well as some Nissan NV300 and Opel Movano models.
