Balfour Beatty, Warwickshire County Council, and the Veteran Contact Point last week welcomed His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales to the newly refurbished Veteran Contact Point community project in Nuneaton in Warwickshire. His Royal Highness visited the centre to acknowledge the work of the charity, which aims to support Veterans in Coventry and Warwickshire reintegrate into civilian life, whilst offering free support sessions including interview and IT skills workshops, combat stress training as well as helping to find shelter for the homeless.

The project, part-funded by Balfour Beatty, saw the company modernise and upgrade the existing building; equipping the facility with disabled access, an extension to the building as well as a new driveway.

Balfour Beatty is a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, a framework for businesses in the UK to ensure that veterans, reservists and their partners are treated fairly in the workplace and are fully integrated into the wider community once they have left service.
