Coal Imports at 12 Major Ports in India in Apr-Oct dip by 10% YoY

Indian Ports Association report showed that Indian thermal coal imports at top 12 major ports during April-October 2019-20 declined by 17.7% YoY to 51.10 million tonnes as compared to 62.1 million tonnes in the same period previous year but coking coal imports recorded a rise of 6.9% YoY at 33.4 million tonnes as compared to 31.3 million tonnes in the corresponding period last fiscal.

Earlier mjunction services, based on monitoring of vessels' positions and data received from shipping companies, had reported 9.3% rise in India's coal imports to 126.91 million tonnes in the first six months of current fiscal.
