GAIL Q1 net profit increases 4.22% to Rs 1,504 crore

GAIL India has posted a 4.22 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit to INR 1,504 crore, for the first quarter ended June 2019. GAIL’s revenue from operations during the first quarter ended June 2019 increased 5.17 per cent to INR 18,482 crore, as compared to INR 17,573 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

The company’s revenue from transmission of natural gas increased to INR 1,480 crore during the first quarter of financial year 2019-2020, as compared to INR 1,311 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter a year ago. Revenue from LPG transmission declined to INR 135 crore during the quarter, as compared to INR 141 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter a year ago. Revenue from natural gas marketing improved in the quarter to INR 18,718 crore, as compared to INR 17,662 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter ended June 2019. Revenue from the petrochemical segment during the quarter declined to INR 1,113 crore. Similarly, revenue from city gas business also declined in the quarter to INR 1,153 crore.
