One of the UK’s leading construction groups Galliford Try has confirmed its appointment to two lots of Thames Water’s Thames Wide Framework Agreements, Lot 1 for Non-Infrastructure works and Lot 2 for Infrastructure, part of the AMP7. The total value of the award to Galliford Try is estimated to be about GBP 25 million over the initial five-year term which has the option for extension into AMP8. Carried out in conjunction with primary design partner Black & Veatch and supported by GHD, the work will cover a wide spectrum of projects including clean and wastewater treatment works, pumping stations, reservoirs and sewerage networks, focusing on the rehabilitation and replacement of above and below ground assets. It will enable our client to maintain delivery momentum in year one of AMP7 and achieve vital performance commitments.

The appointment follows Galliford Try’s targeted strategy towards Thames Water, building on recent project including Counters Creek FLIPS and recognising Thames Water’s move towards a progressive ‘Intelligent Client’ operating model. The total value of the framework is £360m across both AMPs and Galliford Try expects to secure about £5-10m of work from it per year.
