Gazprom said that the Gazprom Management Committee reviewed the progress of the Nord Stream 2 project. It was noted that construction of the gas pipeline was proceeding as scheduled, with a total of about 300 kilometers of pipes laid in the Baltic Sea to date. Most notably, with both strings built to completion in the coastal area of Germany, pipelaying is underway in Germany’s territorial waters and exclusive economic zone, as well as in the exclusive economic zone of Finland. Particular attention at the meeting was paid to the ongoing preparations for pipelaying in the Russian section.

The Management Committee was instructed to continue the implementation of the Nord Stream 2 project until its commissioning in accordance with the schedule. Nord Stream 2 is the construction project for a gas pipeline with the annual capacity of 55 billion cubic meters from Russia to Germany across the Baltic Sea.
