Hindustan Zinc approves 2nd interim dividend

Hindustan Zinc declared an interim dividend of INR 6 per share for the current fiscal today. This amounted to Declaration of 300 percent interim dividend – INR 6 per share on a INR 2 share for the current fiscal.

The company said in a filing to BSE that “The Board of Directors has approved second interim dividend of 300 % i.e. INR 6 per share, entailing an outflow of INR 3,051 crores.”

In March 2017, Hindustan Zinc announced a Special Dividend of INR 13,985 crores. In FY 2016-17, together with Golden Jubilee dividend paid in April 2016 and interim dividend in October 2016, the dividends paid in FY 16-17, amounted to INR 27,157 crores, the highest ever paid in India in a financial year by any private company.

Hindustan Zinc is India’s only and world’s leading integrated producers of zinc-lead-silver with a capacity of 1.0 million MT per annum with the aim to produce 1.2 million tonnes of metal on immediate basis and eventually to 1.5 million tonnes in next 5 years.
