Metalloinvest OEMK appoints Chief Engineer and Chief Operating Officer

Kirill Chernov has been named as Chief Engineer of OEMK (part of Metalloinvest). He was previously Deputy Head of the electric arc furnace shop at OEMK. Evgeniy Nosov has become Chief Operating Officer, having previously worked as Head of Rolling Unit #2. This position has been filled by Dmitry Stepanov, who prior to this was Deputy Production Manager of Rolling Unit #2.

Kirill Alexandrovich Chernov began working at OEMK in 2003 as a steel caster in the continuous casting machine department at the electric arc furnace. He worked as a foreman and senior foreman, managing particularly challenging areas of work, and later became shift supervisor and deputy production manager of the plant. In 2009 and 2014 he received certificates of recognition for his work at OEMK.

Evgeniy Nikolaevich Nosov began working at OEMK in 1989. He was foreman of the Rolling Mill at Rolling Unit #2, mill operator at Rolling Unit #1, senior foreman of Rolling Mill 350 at Rolling Unit #2 and Manager of Rolling Unit #2 at OEMK. In 2002, Evgeniy was awarded the title of ‘Distinguished Metallurgist’ and in 2004 he was named ‘Honourable Metallurgist of the Russian Federation’ by order of the President of the Russian Federation.

Dmitry Vladimirovich Stepanov began his career in 2002 as a mill operator of hot rolled steel at Rolling Unit #2. He worked as a foreman and senior foreman of the Rolling Unit, and as a foreman managing particularly challenging areas of work. He later became Manager of the department, and Deputy Production Manager of the Rolling Unit. In 2015, he was awarded the title of ‘Distinguished Metallurgist’.
