Motera Cricket Stadium Will Be Largest in World-

Construction work at the new Motera stadium in Ahmedabad in Gujarat state of India is on in full swing. With 90 percent work already completed, the revamped cricket stadium in Motera is set to be the biggest cricket stadium in the world. With a seating capacity of 110,000 to accommodate the fans, the stadium will overtake the current record holder, the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground with approximately 95,000 capacity as the biggest cricket stadium in the world.

Architect of Melbourne cricket stadium Australian company Populous is also the principal architect of the stadium being built by the Gujarat Cricket Association. With an estimated cost of INR 700 crore, the work in and around the stadium is on in full flow and construction work is expected to be fully completed by January 2020.
