NLMK shareholders to elect new President

At a meeting held on the 16 th of January directors of NLMK Group resolved to convene an Extraordinary Shareholder Meeting on the 12th of March 2018 for election of a new President (CEO) and Chairman of the Management Board. The EGM will be held by absentee ballot. The date upon which the shareholders entitled to participate in the EGM will be determined was set as 29th of January 2018.

NLMK shareholders holding in aggregate at least two percent of the Company's voting shares have the right to put forward candidates for the position of NLMK President until the 12th of February 2018.

As per a Reuter report, Mr Bagrin, who has been president since 2012, had initiated the move. A source close to NLMK told Reuters that Grigory Fedorishin, NLMK’s senior vice president, was seen as the likely candidate to replace Bagrin as president at the March meeting. Fedorishin was NLMK’s vice president for finance from 2013-2017 and was its strategy and business development director from 2011-2013.
