Shakhtyorsk coal port shipments exceeded 1 million tonnes in May

These are shiploaders with a capacity of 1000 tph, which serve the fleet renewed last year with a cargo capacity of 500 tonne. In addition, in 2017, port grapples with a volume of gripping jaws of 14 m3 were replaced.

The company also plans to replenish its production facilities with a re-equipped Emso-1 loader, which will increase daily transshipment rates to 52 000 - 53 000 t.

Mr Yuri Gvozdikov, Executive Director of the Shakhtyorsk Coal Port explained that "Of course, the new equipment contributes to the efficiency of our work." Mr Gvozdikov added that "But the team also wants to prove itself. We are motivated by the result. In June, we already planned to beat the current record.”

The offshore terminal of the Shakhtersk coal port is the largest coal terminal in the region. In 2017, the volume of coal shipment here amounted to 4.6 million tonne. In plans for 2018 to ship 8 million tonne. To dynamically develop terminal capacity, VGK invests in the renovation of port infrastructure, equipment and in the development of the raid fleet.
