Global Construction Review reported that the largest, worth USD 119 million, is to build an extra entrance to New York City’s Penn Station. The work was awarded by Vornado Realty Trust, and involves construction of the East Entrance, which will be located on the corner of 33rd Street and Seventh Avenue. A four-storey, clear glass canopy will cover escalators, a staircase, and an elevator, linking passengers to the Long Island Rail Road and subway corridors.

Construction has begun and will continue throughout 2020.

Also in New York, Skanska USA has won a USD 94 million deal with New York City Economic Development Corporation to build a public walkway and bike path. The East Midtown Greenway will run along the East River between East 53rd and East 61st Streets. Skanska will also install a pedestrian bridge on East 54th Street.
