Thyssenkrupp to supply 3 Semi-Mobile-Crushing-Plants to CIL NCL for opencast mine

Thyssenkrupp has been awarded by a renowned Indian EPC contractor for complete design, engineering, manufacturing & supply and TAG services for three Semi-Mobile Crushing Plants. The plants consist out of three separated modules. The receiving hopper module with its 2.2 meter wide and 10.5 meter long, heavy duty apron feeder is fed by trucks and has a capacity of approximately 150 tonnes. The heart of each of the plants is the crusher module using a RollSizer DRS giving a maximum capacity of 1900 tonnes per hour. The third module is the electrical building with the operator room. By separating it from the crusher module, the operators and the electrical equipment are not exposed to any vibrations from the crushing process and thereby the plants meet all requirements on health and safety and guarantees a long life time of the electrical equipment.

Compared to stationary crushing plants, Semi-Mobile Crushing Plants are more flexible and can be relocated, when the distance between the mining area and the crushing plant increases and thereby can reduce the cost for transport of the ROM material significantly

The opencast coal mine, operated by Coal India Limited subsidiary Northern Coalfields Limited is located in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh, India and is one of the major producers of non-coking coal in the country since 1986. The mine has now taken an important step to meet their planned target of increasing the production from 10 million tonnes per year to 25 million tonnes per year by implementing an IPCC system, which will also makes the production process more efficient and stable. The system consists of three in pit semi-mobile-crushing plants for their 15 million tonnes per year incremental Coal Handling Plant.
