Whitebark Contracts Drill Rig to spud Rex-3 Well

Whitebark Energy announced that Precision Drilling Rig 186 has been contracted to drill the Company's upcoming Rex-3 development well at the Wizard Lake oil field, with a slot secured for mid-November. Precision Drilling Rig 186 is a Super Single Series Rig which has a low load count and provides highly automated features designed to deliver operational efficiencies. The rig is currently working nearby and is expected to be available to drill Rex-3 in the next few weeks.

The Precision Rig and its crew successfully drilled Rex-1 in nine days and Rex-2 in eight days without incident. Rex-2 was drilled to a total length of 3,033m with a horizontal leg of 1500m. Rex-3 will be drilled parallel to and 300m to the east of Rex-2. Rex-3 is planned to penetrate the reservoir section at approximately 1,405m TVD and have a total length of 3,550m with a horizontal leg of 1,800m. Drilling time will be approximately 10-12 days.
