The agreement includes a two-year extension option at Anglo American’s discretion.

Under that contract, Mastermyne will undertake roadway development in the mains and gate road, and provide all outbye related services for the establishment of the new longwall operation. Anglo American plans to develop Aquila into one of the most technologically advanced underground mines in the world, with features such as a remotely-operated longwall.
