Indian major ports handle less thermal coal in first seven months

Eximin reported that Indian major ports handled 13 % lower thermal coal, at 49.06 million tonnes, in the period April to October 2017-18 compared to the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

According to data from the Indian Ports Association, the Ports received 1.8 % more coking coal year-on-year, at 29 million tonnes.

It said that Paradip Port handled the highest volume of thermal as well as coking coal during the seven month period.
