China’s Crude Oil Imports in July up 14% YoY

General Administration of Customs data showed last week China’s crude imports in July totalled 41.04 million tonnes, 3.7% lower than the 39.58 million tonnes in June. This latest data brings China’s total crude oil imports for the first seven months of this year to 285.64 million tonne or 9.88 million b/d, up 9.5% from a year ago.

China’s oil products exports rose 20.2% year on year to 5.49 million tonnes in July, representing a 1.1% increase from June. In the first seven months of this year, the country’s oil product exports registered a 9% year on year increase to 38.01 million tonnes, leading net product exports to grow 24.9% year on year to 19.6 million tonnes
