IGL net profit increases to INR 198 crore for Q3 2018

Indraprastha Gas Limited, the supplier of Compressed Natural Gas and Piped Natural Gas in the northern region, reported a 19 per cent increase in net profit at INR 198 crore for the Q3 ended December 2018. The company had reported a net profit of INR 166 crore for the quarter ended December 2017. The company’s total income also rose 29 per cent to INR 1,706 crore for the quarter ended December 2018.

IGL's overall sales in value terms increased 28 per cent to INR 1,661 crore for the December quarter as compared to sales valuing INR 1,294 crore recorded in the corresponding period a year ago.

The gas supplier said its Compressed Natural Gas sales in volume terms increased 13 per cent to 291 million Kilogram in the quarter. Sales in the industrial and commercial segment increased 13 per cent to 61 million standard cubic meter during the quarter.
