Third Phase of TOT Highway Project to Get Monetized - NHAI

New Delhi Times reported that the road-show for the third phase of the Toll-Operate-Transfer project for potential bidders was organised by the National Highways Authority of India on 2nd August, 2019 in New Delhi. Chairman of NHAI Mr Nagendra Nath Sinha praised the government for taking efforts to augment investments in highway sector and deemed the TOT to be a risk-free model thus encouraging private investors to bid for the bundles with nine stretches of 566kms.

Bid for the TOT Bundle-3 has been invited with due date of 11th September, 2019.

With lower initial mandated capital works than Bundle 1 and Bundle 2, amounting to approximately INR 400 crore, the TOT Bundle 3 comprises of nine stretches traversing a total length of approximately 566 kms in Bihar, Jharkhand, UP and Tamil Nadu.

With a total length of over 99kms, stretches 1 and 2 will connect Jhansi to Lalitpur in Uttar Pradesh on NH 25 and 26, while Stretch 3 connecting Lucknow to Raibareli in UP on NH 24B is 70 kms long. With a length of 80 kms, stretch 4 will connect Kotwa to Muzaffarpur in Bihar on NH 28, with the length of 74 kms Stretch 5 will connect Hazaribagh to Ranchi in Jharkhand on NH 33 and Stretches 6,7, 8 and 9 connecting Madurai to Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on NH7 is over 243 km long.
