JNPT marks 29th Anniversary at the Trident

Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust’s (JNPT) 29th Anniversary Annual Awards function was held at the Trident on July 5, 2018. The occasion saw the release of a 29th Anniversary Special Issue of JN Port, prepared by Exim India, at the hands of Mr Nitin Gadkari, Honourable Minister for Shipping, Road Transport and Highways. Among the other key dignitaries who participated in the release were Mr Neeraj Bansal, IRS, Chairman In-Charge, JNPT and Mr Vivek Johri, Chief Commissioner, Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House.

Addressing those gathered for the event, Mr Bansal highlighted JN Port’s achievements in the preceding fiscal and threw light on its ongoing and future plans.

The event saw participation in large numbers by representatives from the maritime, cargo, logistics and ex-im trade.

Awards were presented to the top performers at JN Port on the occasion. Besides, six companies received LoAs pertaining to their proposed units in the upcoming JNPT SEZ. Another highlight of the event was a panel discussion on JNPT, India’s No. 1 container port, becoming a global port. Key stakeholders, in their addresses, praised the efforts of JN Port in facilitating the trade.
