Sievert Logistik SE has won a well-known new customer with Badische Stahlwerke GmbH in Kehl. The contract, which initially runs for one year, includes the supply and disposal of the plant with raw materials and steel mill dusts. In order to be able to guarantee the disposal of the filter dust seven days a week, Sievert Logistik mainly processes the order from its location in Hausach, which is only 40 kilometers away from Kehl. Forward-looking planning also ensures that the transports are basically carried out by the same drivers who have been specially trained for this and are familiar with the local conditions.

The logistics specialist arranges both the supply and disposal transports on its own. The top priority of "supply planning" is never to let the factory silo capacity run into the critical area. For this reason, the Sievert dispatchers can view the fill levels online at any time. Since some of the transports are carried out by rail, they are also in close contact with Deutsche Bahn to handle the preliminary transport from the plant to the loading station in Kehl.

In addition, Badische Stahlwerke GmbH's requirement for the assignment was that the processing be 100 percent self-signed. At the same time, the logistics service provider should have both technical and personnel capacities that allow a flexible response even at peak times.
