RUSAL, one of the world’s largest aluminium producers, is partnering with the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO Business School in order to launch an ambitious and large-scale education project. This will assist towards growing the fields of business-education and business ethics in Russia. Such an education system draws upon both of the companies’ practical knowledge as they successfully operate on a global scale to build this educational system. Their hands-on experience of using the best practice and management approaches will be applied. The long-term partnership program envisages creating a centre of expertise based on the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. Based on the world’s best practices, this will enable the School to develop business education programmes in the fields of management and business ethics alongside supporting research in sustainable development. The new business ethics department will be headed by Tom Rawlins, a business practice professor and a founder of various educational initiatives, who will also bring extensive experience of working in the Russian market.

Evgenii Nikitin, CEO of RUSAL said that “In the Russian business environment, the level of applying the knowledge in Business Ethics, Strategic Leadership, Sustainable Development and Human Capital Development, unfortunately, does not fully comply with today’s demands from the business world. This collaboration brings together RUSAL’s international experience and SKOLKOVO’s powerful educational and research base, bridging the current gap in the field of business ethics while taking into the consideration the world’s best practices and current international standards”.

Marat Atnashev, Dean of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO said that “In SKOLKOVO Business School, we believe that the partnership based on shared values is the crucial cornerstone for a successful project. I am sure that this strategic partnership with RUSAL will contribute to the development and growth of the new sectors in the field of business-education and management and will help to build the centre of excellence in business ethics in the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. We are very interested in RUSAL’s experience as one of the largest Russian companies who is operating globally and continuing to implement new management practices”.

RUSAL and the SKOLKOVO Business School are in the process of creating a range of joint activities focusing on the development of the Russian business environment to attract the international expert community, in which the best practices will be integrated into the Russian educational projects and into the programs focusing on management and business ethics.
