Eolus announces sale of 30 MW Norwegian wind power to ewz

Eolus has signed an agreement with ewz regarding the sale of the wind farm Stigafjellet, Norway, comprising 7 wind turbines with a combined installed capacity of about 30 MW. The preliminary purchase price for the wind farm amounts to EUR 40.7 million.

The transaction covers the sale of all the shares in the project company that holds the project rights for the wind farm. Eolus will construct the wind farm and ewz will provide construction financing. The preliminary purchase price for wind farm Stigafjellet amounts to EUR 40.7 million. The wind farm is expected be commissioned during the second half of 2020.

As part of the agreement Eolus has been entrusted to provide technical, operational and administrative services to maximize outcome and production from the facility. The wind farm that is located in Bjerkreim south of Stavanger will be the first completed wind farm by Eolus in Norway.

We appreciate ewz as a long term partner and are happy to support them in fulfilling their ambitions regarding renewable energy.

Marcus Landelin Eolus deputy CEO and COO said that “I’m pleased to announce this agreement that once again show the high quality of our project portfolio. We are also happy that ewz has entrusted Eolus with managing the wind farm. We see that as a sign of the strength in our asset management services.”

The transaction is subject to fulfillment of a number of conditions before closing.
