Maspo Energy Geothermal Power Plant Accepted

The Acceptance Committee of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey worked on 26-27 September and conducted inspections in Ala-2. The acceptance of the Ala-2 Geothermal Power Plant of Maspo Energy with an installed capacity of 30 MWe has been completed and the operation has been announced, as reported by our Turkish sister publication JeotermalHaberler.

Maspo Energy has the largest and most efficient license in the region as a geothermal area of ??12,650 hectares. Work on the 30 MW Maspo Ala-2 geothermal power plant started in April 2017 and the plant has now reached operational status. T. C. The plant is located in Manisa, Alasehir.

The foundations of Maspo Energy, the foundation of Gurmen Group, were laid in 2010. Following its establishment, the Company started investments in geothermal exploration activities in the Alasehir district of Manisa. The capacity of Maspo Energy’s Ala-1 Geothermal Power Plant is 10 MWe.

With that Turkish geothermal power generation capacity has reached 1,450 MW. Details to follow soon.
