Metalloinvest’s Novotroitsk-based Ural Steel has produced rolled plate for the steel structures required for the construction of a beneficiation plant at the Udokan copper deposit. The construction of the Udokan Mining and Metallurgical Plant and the development of the deposit will be completed by Baikal Mining Company. More than 11 thousand tonnes of heavy plate of steel grades C255, C245, C345, C355, C390, C440 have been delivered to the Chelyabinsk and Nizhny Tagil Steel Structure Plants, Belenergomash-BZEM, as well as to the enterprises of Soyuzlegkonstruktsiya - Kulebaki Steel Structure Plant and Shadrinsk Steel Frame Plant. Ural Steel has longstanding relationships with each of these producers. The metal constructions produced at these plants will be transported to the north of the Transbaikal region for the construction of facilities of the future Udokan Mining and Metallurgical Plant.

The reliability of rolled steel from Ural Steel is confirmed by multistage testing, including thermal and mechanical tests. High product quality, reliability and a comprehensive supply chain enable Metalloinvest to actively participate in the implementation of major infrastructure projects.
