Carbone Lorraine buys steel equipment producer Xianda

Thomson Financial reported that Carbone Lorraine has acquired 100% of the Chinese steel equipment producer Xianda in a deal that will significantly expand the French industrial material company's manufacturing capacity in China.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Xianda produces equipments for the steel, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors and had sales of more than USD 20 million in 2007.
