Chongqing Steel Plans to Resettle in Changshou New

Chongqing Iron and Steel Co Ltd announced in a statement that company the board meeting has passed the proposal of environmental protection remove work.

Development of State has earlier issued some advices on the city development and reform work on January 26th 2009 which asked the steel mill to carry out environmental protection remove and products mix adjustment upgrades. So, the move is not only the response of city development, but also the steel industrial upgrading demand in Chongqing city.

The company plans to resettle at Changshou new area, which owns a large-scale investment construction. Except the technology innovation project of steel slabs and strips production line and 4100mm wide and-thick plate project, Chongqing steel would not take part in the other new investment constructions in Changshou area after the resettlement.
