Within the RZHD restructuring the Customs Center was formed. RZHD will provide customs services for the cargo shipment by the Russian railways. 16 regional divisions should be set up.
Earlier, these services were provided by the customs/broker department of RZHD.
RZHD was set up in 2003 on the basis of the communications ministry. 100% are held by the state. The share capital is worth RUR 1.54 trillion split in 1541697819 common stocks of RUB 1000 par.
In 2008 the cargo transportation moved down 3% to RUR 1.3 billion against prior year; the cargo turnover being up 5% to 2.42 trillion tariff/ton km.
