Mr Wedlock appointed as chairman of Sundance Resources

Cameroon focused iron ore developer Sundance Resources has appointed Mr Geoff Wedlock as chairman elect to replace Mr George Jones in September 2009.

Mr Geoff Wedlock brings a wealth of iron ore experience to Sundance. He was directly involved in the development of four iron ore mines, upgrades of two ports and two railways, and the development of iron ore processing operations.

He was also previously Managing Director of the successful Australian iron ore producer, Portman Limited.

Mr Geoff Wedlock said that "Since George joined the Board as Chairman in late 2006, Sundance has secured over USD 90 million in capital from a range of strategic investors, including Talbot Group Holdings. This funding has underpinned our exploration program, which has so far defined a combined total Indicated and Inferred Resource of 2.5 billion tonnes of high grade and itabirite hematite at Mbalam."
