Friday, 24 Jul 2009

Trade Arabia reported that Drydocks World has renewed its long standing association with BP Shipping with the signing of a new alliance agreement.

The agreement was signed by Mr Nawal Saigal MD of Drydocks World and Mr Dave Williamson VP of Fleet Operations of BP Shipping during a 2 day forum attended by representatives of both companies that explored areas of mutual cooperation.

As per the agreement, the 2 companies will work closely to achieve optimum production levels based on mutually agreed terms, which includes strict implementation of accepted standards in safety, quality and environmental protection.

Also a joint team headed by Mr Ravi Senaratne commercial director of Drydocks World and Mr Andrew Cassels manager of Fleet Integrity Team, BP Shipping, will monitor all repair projects from the outset, even prior to the vessel’s arrival in Dubai, until the work is complete and the ship leaves the yard.

Mr Nawal Saigal said that "BP Shipping has been one of our key partners for over a decade. The continuance of this alliance proves the level of satisfaction the company has experienced with our services, global standards of excellence and the quality of our professional and technical expertise."

He said that "Our continued partnership will boost Dubai’s status as the premier maritime industry hub in the region."
