Natural gas transmission firm Gujarat State Petronet Ltd posted an over three fold jump in its net profit at INR 110.05 crore for the second quarter ended September 30th 2009.
Gujarat State Petronet in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange said that its total income of the company increased to INR 260.63 crore in the quarter under review from INR 125.82 crore during the same period previous year.
For the six month period ended September 30th 2009 net profit rose to INR 190.54 crore from INR 61.02 crore in the same period previous year. Its total income jumped up to INR 465.58 crore in the six month period under review from INR 238.08 crore in the same period last fiscal.
